Roof Tech Contractors LLC Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 30, 2026
Last Updated: August 30, 2026
Replaces: the Privacy Policy dated September 15, 2025
Roof Tech Contractors LLC, doing business as RoofTech Contractors & More ("RoofTech," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
South Carolina Residential Builder License #RBS66418.
Please read it carefully. If anything here is unclear, contact us using the details in Section 16 and we will explain it in plain language.
1. Who this Policy covers
This Policy applies to personal information we collect:
• through www.rooftechcontractors.com and any subdomain we operate;
• through advertisements and lead forms we run on Facebook and Instagram, including Meta "instant forms" that are completed inside the Facebook or Instagram app rather than on our site;
• when you call, text, email, or message us;
• when you request or receive an inspection, estimate, or work from us; and
• when a customer or property owner refers you to us.
It does not cover the privacy practices of any third party whose site or app you reach through a link from ours. Their policies govern their handling of your information.
2. Information you give us
Depending on how you contact us, we may collect:
• Identity and contact information — full name, email address, telephone number.
• Property information — service address, property type, roof age or type where you tell us, and the nature of the damage or work you are asking about.
• Storm and claim context — the date of a storm event, whether you have contacted your insurer, and any details you volunteer about your policy or claim. We ask for this only to schedule and scope an inspection.
• Scheduling and communication content — appointment preferences, and the content of emails, texts, voicemails, and messages you send us.
• Photographs and inspection findings — images and notes from an inspection of your property.
• Payment and contract information where you become a customer, including billing details handled through our invoicing provider.
We do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, driver's licence number, financial account credentials, or health information. Please do not send them to us. If you send sensitive information unprompted, we will delete it.
3. Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our providers may automatically collect:
• IP address and approximate location derived from it (city/region level);
• device type, operating system, browser type and language;
• pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, and the site or advertisement you arrived from;
• cookie identifiers and similar identifiers set by us or our advertising and analytics providers;
• advertising click identifiers such as Meta's fbclid parameter, which allows an ad click to be matched to a later visit.
4. Information we receive from Meta
If you submit one of our lead forms on Facebook or Instagram, Meta provides us with the information you entered in that form — typically your name, email address, telephone number, and your answers to our qualifying questions — together with an identifier for the advertisement you responded to.
Meta pre-fills some of those fields from your Facebook or Instagram profile. You can edit any pre-filled field before you submit, and you should review them. We receive what you submit, not your profile.
Meta's own handling of your information is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy, not by this one.
5. Why we use your information
We use personal information to:
• respond to your enquiry and schedule an inspection or estimate;
• perform, document, and invoice work you engage us to do;
• follow up about a quote, an inspection, or an active project;
• keep records of inspections and work performed, including photographs;
• improve our website, our advertising, and the way we handle enquiries;
• measure whether our advertising is reaching the right people and working;
• protect our business against fraud and misuse, and enforce our agreements; and
• comply with law, including licensing, tax, warranty, and record-keeping obligations.
Our legal basis, where a legal basis is required, is your consent (for marketing communications and non-essential cookies), the performance of a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in operating and marketing a licensed contracting business.
6. What we do NOT do with your information
• We do not sell your personal information for money.
• We do not share your contact information with other contractors, lead brokers, lead aggregators, or public adjusters.
• We do not contact your insurance company on your behalf, and we do not adjust, negotiate, file, or represent you in an insurance claim. Whether to file a claim is entirely your decision. We document what we find on your roof and give you the photographs. What you do with them is your call, not ours.
• We do not use your information for unrelated marketing without your permission.
Please see Section 12 regarding how "sale" and "share" are defined more broadly under certain state privacy laws.
7. Advertising, cookies, and the Meta Pixel
This is the section that has changed most from our previous Policy. Please read it.
7.1 The Meta Pixel and Conversions API
Our website uses the Meta Pixel (dataset ID 944266351639975), a piece of Meta code that runs in your browser, together with the Meta Conversions API, which sends equivalent information from our website provider's servers directly to Meta. The Conversions API reports the same kinds of events as the Pixel; it exists because browsers increasingly block the browser-based version.
Through these tools, Meta receives information including that a browser visited a particular page on our site, the time of the visit, the IP address, browser and device characteristics, and cookie or advertising identifiers associated with that browser.
7.2 Advanced matching (may be enabled in future)
Meta offers a feature called advanced matching, in which information you enter on our website — such as your email address, telephone number, name, or city, state and ZIP code — is converted into an irreversible cryptographic hash in your browser before being sent to Meta, and is used to match your activity to a Meta account.
We may enable advanced matching. If we do, the information listed above will be hashed and transmitted to Meta for that purpose. Meta does not receive the plain-text values. Hashing is not anonymisation — a hash of a phone number still identifies the person who holds that number to anyone who already has it — and we describe it here so the trade-off is visible to you rather than buried.
You can opt out of this use of your information at any time using the controls in Section 7.5.
7.3 What we use this for
• measuring whether people who saw or clicked an advertisement went on to contact us;
• custom audiences — showing advertisements to people who have visited our website;
• lookalike audiences — asking Meta to find people who resemble our past enquirers, using an audience built from the above; and
• excluding people who have already contacted us from seeing the same advertisement again.
Some of these are not in use today but may be. We will not need to rewrite this Policy to begin using them; the description above already covers them.
7.4 Other cookies
We also use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site, and our website platform sets cookies for security, load balancing, and basic analytics. We may use analytics providers such as Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic.
7.5 Your choices
• Meta ad settings — https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences/ad_settings lets you see and limit how Meta uses off-Facebook activity, including ours, to target advertising to you.
• Meta off-Facebook activity — https://www.facebook.com/off_facebook_activity lets you disconnect activity that businesses like ours have shared with Meta.
• Browser controls — you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our site work.
• Industry opt-outs — https://optout.aboutads.info and https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices.
• Global Privacy Control — where your browser or extension transmits a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of targeted advertising for that browser.
• Ask us — contact us using the details in Section 16 and we will action your request.
8. How we communicate with you
We may contact you by email, telephone, and text message in connection with your enquiry, a scheduled inspection, an active project, or a warranty matter. You may ask us to stop at any time.
9. Text messages (SMS)
This section describes a programme we may operate. Please treat it as forward-looking.
If you provide your mobile number and agree to receive text messages from us:
• What you are agreeing to. Texts from RoofTech Contractors & More about your enquiry, appointment reminders, inspection scheduling, and project updates.
• Consent is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to receive texts in order to request an inspection, receive a quote, or hire us. If you would rather we call or email, say so and we will.
• Message frequency varies and depends on your enquiry and any active project.
• Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's charges are your responsibility.
• To stop, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation and no further messages, other than those required to complete a transaction you have already begun.
• For help, reply HELP or contact us at the details in Section 16.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• We do not share your mobile number or your SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Marketing text messages will be sent only where you have given prior express written consent, and records of that consent are retained as described in Section 11.
10. Who we share information with
We share personal information only as described here.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. — receives website activity, cookie and advertising identifiers, and, if advanced matching is enabled, hashed contact information. Lead form submissions originate with Meta. Used for advertising delivery, measurement, and audience building.
• Wix.com Ltd. — receives website hosting data, form submissions, and site analytics, as our website and forms platform.
• Zapier Inc. — receives lead form submissions routed from Meta to our inboxes, for lead routing and alerting.
• Email and telephony providers — receive the content of communications with you, in order to deliver our messages.
• Serram Creative — receives lead and campaign data, and manages our advertising on our behalf.
• Subcontractors and suppliers — receive your name, service address, and job scope, in order to perform work you have engaged us for.
• Professional advisers, insurers, and authorities — receive information as required, for legal, tax, and insurance obligations.
Each of these acts on our instructions or under its own published terms. We only communicate with your insurance company if you specifically ask us to and tell us to.
We may also disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order; to establish or defend legal claims; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business, in which case we will tell you.
11. How long we keep information
• Enquiries that do not become customers — 24 months from last contact.
• Customer records, contracts, and invoices — 7 years after completion, for tax and warranty purposes.
• Inspection photographs and findings — 7 years after the inspection.
• SMS consent records — 5 years after consent is withdrawn or last used.
• Website analytics and advertising identifiers — as set by each provider, typically up to 24 months.
• Records the law requires us to keep — for the period the law requires.
We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless we are required to keep it.
12. Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you may ask us to:
• access the personal information we hold about you;
• correct it if it is wrong;
• delete it, subject to records we must keep by law;
• stop contacting you for marketing purposes; and
• opt out of targeted advertising, including the Meta uses described in Section 7.
To exercise any of these, contact us at the details in Section 16. We will respond within 45 days and will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
A note on "sale" and "share." We do not sell personal information for money. However, several state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include disclosing identifiers to an advertising platform for cross-context behavioural advertising — which is what Section 7 describes. If you are a resident of a state with such a law, you may treat this Policy as notice of that activity, and you may opt out using the controls in Section 7.5 or by contacting us.
South Carolina has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy statute as of the date of this Policy. We extend the rights above to all enquirers regardless of residence.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and our website and lead-routing providers maintain their own. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as financial account details or identification numbers by email or through a web form.
14. Children
Our services are directed to property owners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. When we do, we will change the "Last Updated" date above. If we make a material change — for example, beginning to share categories of information we do not share today — we will say so prominently on this page.
